Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Lithuanian Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data.

Data controller

The data controller is Motored UAB (company code 308040590), Vilnius, Lithuania. For privacy questions, email help@motored.lt.

Data we collect

Account data: email, phone, name, profile picture. For sellers: identity documents (via Stripe Connect Express identity verification), bank account for payouts, tax ID.

Usage data: listings viewed, search queries, vehicle context, purchases, dispute evidence. Technical data: IP, browser type, device, language, session cookies. Communications: messages to support, dispute conversations.

Lawful basis for processing

Contract (account, purchase, delivery, payments). Legal obligation (VAT, DAC7 reporting to LT VMI, AML). Legitimate interest (fraud prevention, quality improvement, support). Consent (analytics and marketing cookies — withdrawable anytime).

Sub-processors

Stripe Payments Europe Ltd (Ireland) — payments, KYC, AML. Mailgun Technologies Inc / Sinch (EU) — email. Google LLC / Firebase (EU region) — authentication. Google Cloud Platform (Poland, europe-central2) — database, files, logs, monitoring. DPD Lietuva UAB — shipping. All sub-processors operate in the EU/EEA or provide adequate protection.

Retention periods

Account data: kept while the account is active. Orders + payments: 10 years from transaction (LT tax law). Audit records for money movement: 24 months or as LT law requires. Consent logs: 3 years. After these periods, data is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, port data to another controller, object to processing, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights: help@motored.lt. Complaints can be filed with the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (VDAI), L. Sapiegos 17, Vilnius.
